With a pram, the question isn't just whether you can get somewhere, but whether you can get there without stairs. This map shows which stations you can
reach from yours, how long it takes and how often a train runs. It covers every railway station in the Netherlands.
How does it work?
- We use the timetable of an ordinary weekday and of a Saturday, for departures between 08:30 and 12:00.
- With a pram, you only get on, get off and change trains at platforms you can reach without stairs. Changing on the same platform is always fine. We add 3 minutes to every change.
- If we don't know whether a station or platform is step-free, we don't count it.
- "Sprinters and stopping trains": trains without steps inside. Intercity trains often have them.
-
More options never make a journey longer. If you allow changes or intercity trains, we show the way of travelling with the shortest usual travel time.
If the direct train is quicker, you'll see the direct train.
Lift outages
- We show which lifts are out of order right now, or have an unknown status. If you might need such a lift on your route, you'll see a warning in the list and at the station.
- An outage usually shows up here within ten minutes. Every night around 04:00, the full status of all lifts comes in again.
- When a lift has just come back into service, we keep mentioning it for half an hour. Lifts sometimes break down again soon after.
- If no updates come in for a while, we say so: the status may then be out of date. A lift can also break down at any moment, so check again just before you leave.
What we don't know (yet)
- How steep a ramp is, or how far you have to walk.
- Whether you can board the train without a step: that also depends on the type of train.
